Head (& mind) of State
Sir Winston churchill was reported to suffer from depression. It was said that he used to dictate letters to his secretaries half-dressed and roamed around in his rooms nude when awoke in the night. Was his patiality to alcohol and habit of smoking known in his political period? or the conviction that Churchill was among the most important men in modern history had come about after his death?
Physical illness does get some sympathy but if more people admitted to their mental illness would the stigma and fear be less than what we have now?
world is not ready-
look how people with
learning diffs are
treated (I know as my
son has one).
D heard a radio program
about people in Kenya,
amputees and people
that had suffered
disfiguring diseases
such as cancer. Well
they are shunned, just
because they are different.
Mental illness is usually
not visable (apart from
nudity, purple hats etc..)
but if it were public
knowledge every single
act the person did would
be attributed to their
mental state. I don't think
anyone in the public eye
would like that kind of
scrutiny (except people who
go on BB!)
Hope you and your son are able to ignor the idiots of this world.
