A Visit to The Lowry
After doing my duties to work Saturday morning, getting the theatre goers ready and walking dog so that I don't feel guilty for neglecting her I just about managed to get us there on time. To me going out, especially to the shows or cinemas doesn't have same impact if it was not in the evening and the week end. This was an afternoon show, we picked on purpose so that the sickie doesn't get too tired and refuse to go.
The view of the Quays at Salford from the Lowry building was breath taking. When The Lowry was built many people disliked the building and the colours but I think it is unusual and interesting. The work done to regenerate the Salford Quay area has been worth while. I am probably biased. I love everything near and around water anyway.
We had the very front middle seats and the dances were excellent. Him Upstairs was in very good mood and very excited as it reminded him of his college days. Mind you most of the times he kept looking at me and asking if my eyes were ok, bless him.
When we went up to the car after the show the young leading lady was coming out of the back stage entrance and we had a good chat with her. Him upstairs was very flattered by the attention given to him by the leading lady and her fellow dancer.
I had better stop as my eyes have started to sting now.
