I have not been sleeping till 3 or so in the morning for some time. While doing some work I keep the television on. A couple of nights I came across the "Trisha" show where the lie detector machines were being used. It is very well them being used on shows like that but then I saw this article. The government is looking into the use of lie detectors to try to cut down benefit fraud. We all despise the cheats and fraudsters and to combat that we will welcome anything. What bothers me though is where does it end? Forgetting any unreliability of the machinery or the errors of the operator, even if they were foolproof, where does it all end? Every Tom Dick and Harry will then jump on the bandwagon and would want to use them. Not all will be tested for perfection and I can see misuses and sad endings on their believed results.
