So I have to eat the humble pie - it did snow on Christmas day! It was too lovely to stay in. You just have to get out when it's snowing.

One of my friend's husband was working on Christmas day and I felt bad that she was alone so I decided to call on her for a coffee on my dog round. She also has a number of Christmas ornaments, we call them her toys, so I wanted to see them too. After a guided tour of all lighting up, flashing, playing various tunes and generally annoying after 5 minutes, toys I suggested we took the dogs for a walk.

There is a great open green place to walk. It was all white with the snow. Just because there was another dog there my dog miraculously forgot about her arthritis for a while. My friends dog is a young teenager boy! He knows where all the berries and apple trees are in the country park and has eaten most of them bare. He was in a playing mood but after he ran up to my dog at a great speed bumping into her making her fall about five times she wasn't impressed. As soon as she saw the totally naughty testosterone charged heavy black bundle of fur, a brute, running towards her, my delicate little lady just gave in and sat down so she doesn't fall. "Men!!!!"

Boxing day has been quiet apart from hundred odd cars in the shopping centre carpark people going to the sales.

Shame about the disaster in Asia and so many people dead.
