Fools - poem

Fools

There are many fools in the world
And even bigger fools found I am told
Those who let love slip by them
Discarding lovers with heart of gold

Conceited fools act proud and bold
Naturally they can't break the mould
Ending up losers, oh what a shame
Rejecting new and forfeiting the old

Seen hot passions turning so cold
In open market hearts were being sold
Pretentious love was just a power game
Gullible players were cleverly enrolled

Illusion of perfect union remained untold
Self inflicted wounds carefully controlled
For their loss the fools must get the blame
Gift of true love that they couldn't hold

Comments:
What to say? They are not worth it babe.
