We will all get there, sooner or later. Why do we have to get old? Going on about age for the sake of vanity is a different matter but when getting older brings less enjoyment in life, it some how does not seem fair. No matter how much you looked after your body with age mental and physical abilities start to deteriorate, no fault of your own.

Last time when I saw mum she looked so much older than 3 years previously! My poor dog is getting older too. She has been limping due to arthritis for a couple of days. Despite being on medication she seem to suffering from stiff joints. I have to pick her up to put her in the car for a couple of days now. Last night she tried to go upstairs and had a fall from the stairs so now I have to assist her going upstairs. I must not walk her much. The vet said "You must realize/accept that she is old now". I feel as if I have lost the company of a friend. The dog goes everywhere with me almost every day. I can't be selfish and let her do more than her body is able to, even if she wants to do it.

My husband has a very big problem with his legs and we live upstairs. Now another addition in fetching and carrying things upstairs club. I can get a stair lift for the person but I don't think the dog can use it. I will have to move into a bunglaow.Only if it was that easy !
